About Zach

Hello, and thanks for stopping by!

About me….I have over 30 years experience as a keyboard musician (piano, Hammond organ, synthesizer), composer, arranger, and producer. I am available for live gigs, studio sessions, and film/advertisement scoring in various styles including jazz, rock, R&B, funk, reggae, and gospel.

I strive for excellence and professionalism in whatever I do, whether it be accompaniment, performance, and directing music in a variety of situations, from church and military choirs to weddings to live bands of any genre. Currently, I regularly use my gifts in and around Tidewater (VA), Northern VA, MD, DC, and PA as a player with vocalists and bands, as a solo artist, as a for-hire music producer, and as a church organist/choir director. I am also a Performing Artist with a wonderful organization called Tidewater Arts Outreach – check out their website at www.twartsoutreach.org. Their motto totally resonates with me: “The Instruments to Heal Are in Our Hands.”

I am co-producing my debut smooth jazz CD project with Nashville-area producer Eric Copeland on the Creative Soul Jazz label. Eric produced “Around (Again)” and “Spin Cycle” – the latest CD releases for American Smooth Jazz Award-nominated guitarist Drew Davidsen (Best New Artist). Eric and I have co-written a single titled “These Hands” which receives rave reviews here and abroad, and which is slated to be recorded by jazz vocal sensation Kerensa Gray.

I am a firm believer in continuous learning and improvement in my craft; in addition to dilligent practice, involvement in jazz workshops, and personal study in jazz and music theory, my sights are set on completing a Master Certificate in Arranging and Orchestration with Berklee School of Music.

So if you need a professional keyboard player, composer or producer, contact me via email at zach@zachbridges.com, or call (757) 516-7519. I am also available for private and group piano lessons and/or coaching, customized to your level of interest and skill. If you need small-scale video editing and production, I do that too :-) .
